Run EU Day at Howest: Connecting Innovation, Research, and Regional Impact
On 16 October, Howest University of Applied Sciences hosted Run EU Day, an inspiring event showcasing the diverse projects and collaborations within the Run EU (Regional University Network – European University) initiative.
During the event, our team presented insights from WP2, including the development of the Youth Centre and the Art Bible, and shared research on how Virtual Reality (VR) can enhance Youth Work, as well as Rehabilitation and Occupational Therapy. This work highlights the growing potential of VR beyond technical applications, demonstrating its value in social and therapeutic contexts.
We also presented outcomes from the Master’s Degree in WP4 and discussed the next steps in our research journey. Engaging with Howest staff and students was particularly rewarding, as many were keen to learn how Run EU projects are creating a tangible impact at Howest and across the region.
Collaboration, innovation, and regional engagement are at the heart of Run EU, and events like this demonstrate the importance of connecting European universities to drive meaningful change.
